Gone Series Review

Hey, guys! What up? Today I'll be making a review of the Gone Series By Michael Grant. I'm trying out this type of post. As you've probably noticed, I do more DIYs and fashion stuffs. I'll continue if this picks up. After all, I am a real big book worm. Here we go!

So I found this book while I was looking for something to read because I had nothing else to do. I stumbled upon this book by randomly picking books and reading their summaries. Just the summary of this book blew me away. Also, I'm the type of reader that likes loooooong series of thick bricks. Or else, I just wonder about the story and anyways only 300 pages of only one book isn't enough for me! This series was perfect for me!

Pretty quickly, I got sucked up in this book. I would read every chance I got and I quickly devoured the first novel. I was so hungry for more that I went back to the library and read all the books one after the other in like less than a week. I just finished the last one a few minutes ago. I feel so empty like I'm wandering around not knowing what to do. I want to read more but I'm confronted with the sad reality that there is no continuation to this story. 😔 But anyways let's all hope I find a way to my life!!! Ahahaha just kidding... a little.

The characters are really realistic and you get attached to them real quick. At least I did. There are so many connections between the characters. Sam and Caine, for instance. I could name more but I'd end up spoiling important elements. My favorite characters were Sam, Astrid, Edilio, and surprisingly Diana and Caine. You learn to love these character as the story goes by.  There are so many emotions to be felt too: anger, happiness, sadness, guilt, distress, hatred and so much more!

There are also many messages and themes in this book. For instance, love and hate, chaos, hunger, and the importance of family. Similarly, the love in this book isn't only dating love, it's also a strong friendship and real love no matter what happened. I guess true love is manifested in times of distress, in times when Sam really needed Astrid. Same for Caine and Diana.

The plot is remarkably captivating and well built. You can not just put down these books and go on wondering about the books. I ended up questioning things before going to bed and being like "wow my whole train of thought revolves around this series!". Michael Grant did an extremely good job on this one! Most of the time, the 1st book of the series is the best one, but I checked some reviews and this series was also famous for the last book, Light. The ending was so well written, it's incredible. It's not something like they got married and had 26 kids. The author actually went and explained everything at the end. I won't spoil anything don't worry! I hate spoilers.

This series is really worth reading, and is highly recommended by me!

My overall appreciation: AMAZING! 5 STARS. Big thanks to Michael Grant for these wonderful books!

Please tell me what you think about these books if you ever read them!
