Baking Cupcakes with Khalnen!

What up people? Today I made CUPCAKES! Here's everything about my day (recipes, pictures, icing designs..)!

Here is the recipe for the vanilla (and chocolate) cupcakes I made:

Ingredients for 20-25 cupcakes:
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla essence (optional)
(For the chocolate ones, I didn't put the vanilla extract, but I added 1/2 cup of cocoa and a little more sugar)

Directions:
- Preheat oven or 190C or 375F and line muffins cups with papers.
- Cream butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs one at the time
- Add in the flour (that was mixed with baking powder and salt) alternating with the milk
- While beating, stir in the vanilla
- Divide mixture into the muffin cups and bake for 18 minutes
- Let cool on pans before adding the icing

Recipe for buttercream icing:

Ingredients:
4 cups icing sugar (aka powdered sugar)
1 cup warm/melted butter
2 tablespoons milk
1-2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Food Coloring

Directions:
- Warm up the butter
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until fluffy
- Add food coloring if wanted

Here are what mine looked like!

Tip: When you really are impatient to start decorating your cupcakes but they just came out of the oven, you can just let the cupcakes cool down it the freezer for 10-15 minutes. This way your icing won't melt!

I hope you enjoyed! I know this isn't the type of blog I normally write, but if you really liked it I could make some more. Please comment so I can know what you think!
