DIY Shampoos

Hola, Everyone ! How's everything ? Wait ? Hair loss? Itchy scalp? Greasy hair ?  Well, I think I can help you!
Not long ago,I started using chemical-free shampoos. I got my scalp washed away from all the chemicals that commercial shampoos left. It's very disgusting! Normally your scalp should be pink because of the blood circulation, but when they looked at mine with a special camera... Boy! It was as white as paper! All my follicles were clogged up with plastic remnants from the shampoos. Did you know that commercial shampoos contained plastic in them ? Well, I didn't either. They also contain chemicals which were explained in my previous post... This one is about making your own healthy, natural, chemical-free shampoo !

I searched a lot of sites and I found the best to show you guys. Hope you enjoy.
Oh and before I start, your scalp will take some time to adapt to the next shampoo so expect to have a greasy hair for at least 3-4 weeks. My recommendation: start your new shampoo during the summer, march break or summer holidays if you're still at school.

These recipes aren't mine. They're from beautymunsta: a wonderful and natural site !

1. Coconut Oil Honey Shampoo for Irritated Scalp + Shiny Locks

Ingredients
– 3 tbsp organic liquid honey
– 1 tbsp coconut oil
– 3 drops lavender essential oil
Directions
It is recommended to make a fresh batch of this every time yo go to shower because it’s very easy to make. Simply get a bowl, squeeze in 3 tbsp of liquid organic wildflower honey, add 1 tbsp of coconut oil and 3 drops of lavender essential oil. Stir well with a spoon to form a creamy shampoo!
How to Apply
Start by sectioning your hair and applying the shampoo. You can go from left to right or even start from the middle. The point is to systematically be applying the whole mixture onto your scalp. When your whole scalp is covered, scoop up the remaining mixture and smooth it over the length of your hair. Coating all of you hair isn't necessary. You can finish the bowl by using what's left of it and distribute it in your hair. Now, you may want to let the nourishing nutrients penetrate for about 5-7 minutes. So while you're waiting you can do other things like shave, wash your body or do some squats or something. When the time is up, rinse off thoroughly with warm water first then cold water. Once you're done our scalp will feel clean and soothed and your locks will be silky and shiny.

2. DIY Egg Shampoo for Greasy Hair + Hair Growth

Ingredients
– 1-2 eggs (depending on your hair length and thickness)
– 3 tsp rhassoul clay
– 4 tsp honey
– 1 tsp coconut oil
– ¼ cup water
– 7 drops rosemary essential oil
– 3 drops lemon essential oil
Directions
Combine all ingredients (except essential oils) in a blender and blend for about 7 seconds. You will have a foamy mixture. Now add the essential oils and stir well. Transfer to a glass jar and take it to the shower with you.
How to Apply
Wet your hair. Then slowly pour the egg shampoo on your scalp and strands. Then start massaging your scalp and hair. This will loosen dirt and grime. Leave it in for 2 minutes then rinse off thoroughly using tepid water (NOT hot water). Wrap your hair in a fluffy towel. When dry, your hair will smell pleasant and be silky soft!
Personally, this one is my favorite !
3. Coconut Milk Shampoo for Damaged Hair+ Silky Locks
Ingredients
– 1/2 a can of coconut milk
– 2 tbsp vegetable glycerine
– 2 tsp olive oil
– 5 drops geranium essential oil
Directions
Place all ingredients except the geranium oil in a blender and blitz for 5 seconds. Pour into an applicator bottle, add the geranium, shake well and there you go! Your coconut milk shampoo is ready! You just need to apply it to you hair. Wait around 5 minutes to let the coconut milk nourish the scalp. Then wash it off with hot water. now enjoy your silky hair!
